Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of positions do you fill?

ConTemporary Healthcare Solutions fills RN, LPN, CNA and allied health positions on a per-diem, contract, temp-to-hire, and permanent basis. We can also place travel nurses and allied professionals in positions at medical facilities in and around the Virginia, D.C. and Maryland area.

How soon can I start working?

Job availability changes on a daily basis. As long as your credentialing, testing, and licensing are complete, many positions are available immediately.

What is involved in the application process?

You can either apply online or through the mail. In the application process, you will be asked to provide complete work history information as well as the type of employment you would like to find and preference of shift.

You will also interview with a ConTemporary Healthcare recruiter. In the interview, you will have the opportunity to discuss your interests, skills, and experience.

Once we confirm your references and verify your certification, we will then offer you jobs based on all the factors of the application and interview process.

How often should I contact your office after an interview?

Once hired, you are welcome to call the staffing office any time about the many opportunities available.  You can also check the Search Jobs section of our website as often as you like to see what new opportunities we have to offer. If you see something that interests you, please call or e-mail us.

What if I am not interested in a certain position when it is offered? Is it OK to turn it down?

Not every job is going to meet the expectations you have. If you are not interested in a position, you are free to decline. We will continue to offer positions to you based on your skills and preferences.

What if I am on an assignment and decide it is not for me?

We realize that not every job is a good fit for you; sometimes you do not know that until you have tried the position. If you are on an assignment and find it is not going to work for you, please contact us immediately. You may be asked to stay at an assignment long enough for us to find a replacement, but we will attempt to remedy the situation as quickly as possible.

What do I pay for your services?

We NEVER charge a fee! As an associate of ConTemporary Healthcare Solutions, you will not pay for any of the services we provide.

How long are contract assignments?

It depends on your preferences. The length of a contract assignment can last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, or even a year.

What about malpractice and liability coverage?

ConTemporary Healthcare provides employees with comprehensive malpractice insurance and liability coverage throughout the duration of your assignment.

How do I know ConTemporary is a staffing agency that cares about quality?

Any employee who has concers about the quality and safety of patient care provided by one of our clinicians is encouraged to cotact their local ConTemporary office immediately.
